X-rays can help your Chiropractor to determine biomechanical problems with your spine such as how the vertebrae are positioned in relation to those above and below. An overall view of your posture, such as hip position, shoulder position and head position can also be evidence of how or why you might be presenting with lowback, midback, neck pain and headaches.
X-rays also can give clues to a wide range of diseases such as arthritis that your Chiropractor will need to be aware of to help him/her to provide the proper type of adjustment to reduce your subluxations. In some cases, your Chiropractor will refer you to your M.D., D.O. or a Specialist if an X-ray demonstrates a disease process that requires their attention.
